Welcome to Medidata

Rental subscription

What is a database rental subscription?

For a fixed annual fee, you can have unlimited access to the Medidata Healthcare Professional Database.

That means not only unlimited usage of the data and its associated information, but also electronic access to the latest weekly updates enabling clients to integrate the Medidata database into their existing representative territory management system, their order procurement programme, or into the back end of their call centres.

What do you get for your subscription?

You have full access to the database including:

  • Postal and work addresses
  • Phone
  • Fax
  • Graduation year
  • Medical Registration number
  • EDI
  • HPI Number
  • Practice size/patients seen
  • Country of graduation
  • Doctor category and specialty
  • Mobile number
  • Interests
  • PHO they belong to
  • Practice Management Software they use

What's more, the data remains contemporary and up to date, because general practitioners are particularly keen to keep their details updated on our database to ensure they continue to receive their medical publications.

Who uses the subscription service?

Many of our database contract clients are in the top 20 Pharmaceutical companies in New Zealand, including:

  • Glaxo SmithKline
  • MSD
  • AstraZeneca
  • Bayer New Zealand
  • Seqirus
  • Novartis

Combined, our clients have representative field forces that number over 100 in total and we receive regular data updates from those representatives.

Our database is also used by non-pharmaceutical companies, including:

  • Southern Cross
  • Healthcare Research Facilities
  • NZ Specialist Groups
  • St John New Zealand

An annual database contract gives you the flexibility of greater data selection capability, and for the data to be used in-house, for regular updates, and for "free" list rental for unlimited mailings.
